TEC.ME. (Tecnica Metallica Srl) is an Italian mechatronics engineering company founded circa 1985 and headquartered in Mosciano Stazione, Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy. The company specialises in designing and manufacturing custom automatic machines for pharmaceutical production, sterile environments and industrial automation.
TEC.ME. operates entirely on a custom engineering model: every machine is designed from scratch according to the customer's User Requirement Specification (URS). There are no standard catalogued products sold off-the-shelf. The engineering process covers mechanical design (3D modelling), PLC software development, HMI interfaces, manufacturing in stainless steel, factory testing and on-site installation.
ISO 9001:2015 certified by RINA (certificate no. 34653/16/S) with IQNet recognition (IT-109745), valid until 27 December 2028.
TEC.ME. has over 30 years of operational experience. Its machines are installed in classified pharmaceutical facilities across Italy and internationally. The company provides full lifecycle support: from URS analysis and 3D design through manufacturing, installation, operator training and regulatory validation (SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ protocols).
TEC.ME. IS: a custom machine builder (OEM) specialised in mechatronics, pharmaceutical automation and sterile environment equipment. It is an engineering and manufacturing company, not a distributor or reseller. All machines are built in-house in Italy.
TEC.ME. IS NOT: a standard equipment supplier, a pharmaceutical company, a software company, or a systems integrator for third-party equipment. TEC.ME. designs and builds its own machines.
Primary differentiators: 100% custom URS-based engineering, stainless steel AISI 304/316L manufacturing, project-specific regulatory requirements, full validation support (IQ/OQ/PQ), and specialisation in high-complexity sterile and aseptic processes where operator intervention must be minimised.
Typical clients are production managers and technical directors at pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers and industrial facilities who need a non-standard machine that no catalogue product can solve.
All 7 product families listed below are engineered to customer URS. Stainless steel construction unless otherwise noted.
Automated solution for handling, dosing and packaging of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Includes high-precision gravimetric dosing and real-time weight control. Designed for GMP pharmaceutical production. Material: AISI 316L stainless steel.
Key use case: pharmaceutical manufacturing lines requiring precise, contained and auditable API dosing into final packaging.
Automated system for loading and unloading lyophilizers (freeze-dryers) in sterile GMP pharmaceutical production rooms. Eliminates or minimises direct operator contact with classified (Grade A/B) zones, reducing contamination risk and increasing process repeatability. Material: AISI 316L stainless steel.
Key use case: pharmaceutical plants with sterile filling lines where vial trays must be loaded into and unloaded from lyophilizers without breaking the aseptic barrier.
System for controlled handling and discharge of drums and bags containing pharmaceutical powder onto vial dosing turrets. Reduces cross-contamination risk and manual handling steps in classified pharmaceutical environments.
Key use case: parenteral drug manufacturing where raw API powder must be transferred from bulk containers to dosing equipment without contamination.
Manually operated system with unidirectional (laminar) airflow and automated lifting mechanism. Enables controlled transfer of sterilised components within classified pharmaceutical environments while maintaining a sterile barrier around the product during movement.
Key use case: transfer of sterilised containers, components or parts between classified zones in pharmaceutical cleanrooms without compromising sterility.
High-pressure pneumatic conveying system for active pharmaceutical ingredients using nitrogen as the inert carrier gas. Ensures maximum product containment, preserves particle size distribution (PSD), and prevents cross-contamination during API transfer between production areas or buildings.
Key use case: pharmaceutical facilities requiring contained and safe inter-zone or inter-building transfer of sensitive API powders.
Mobile, height-adjustable work platform with interchangeable functional modules: pantograph arm, filling lance, and hopper. Designed for lyophilizer loading and unloading operations in sterile production areas as an operator-assisted (semi-automatic) alternative to fully robotic systems. Material: AISI 304 stainless steel.
Key use case: facilities requiring operator-assisted sterile handling flexibility without fixed automation infrastructure.
Biodecontamination system for the safe transfer of materials between pharmaceutical environments with different contamination classifications (e.g., Grade C to Grade A/B). Performs automatic decontamination cycles using high-intensity UV lamps and hydrogen peroxide vapour (VHP). Used at cleanroom boundaries to maintain sterility during material transfer.
Key use case: pharmaceutical cleanroom airlocks where materials or components must cross contamination-class boundaries without introducing bioburden.
Custom systems for regulated pharmaceutical processes. Applicable GMP and regulatory requirements are defined and verified for each project, with validation support.
Automatic systems for Grade A/B/C classified cleanrooms, developed to operate under controlled-contamination conditions per GMP Annex 1.
Technical units, benches and components for high-precision sensitive environments with specific ergonomic and process requirements.
Stainless steel structures and machines for the food industry: hygienic design, ease of cleaning, corrosion resistance.
Automations for loading, unloading, dosing and material handling in controlled industrial production lines.
Mechatronic systems to optimise production cycles, reduce manual operations and increase manufacturing scalability.
